Marassa Twins Voodoo Dolls The Marassa are the divine twins who speak to us of twin souls who find each other lifetime after lifetime to interact as their karma dictates. In West Africa a person who has lost a twin will wear a small effigy of that child for the rest of their life and will treat it as the eternal presence of the absent soul. In Santeria there are known as the Ibeji, the twin sons of the king Xango who are spurred onto fight each other by their father and as a consequence die, provoking the death of Xango himself who is then elevated to an Orisha.
