Severina with her daughter

Close Window

This photo was taken in the main Altar Room of the New Orleans Historic Voodoo Museum around 1989. My daughter grew up around the Museum and Voodoo rituals until she started school in the French Quarter. She had a little Asson and we would put her stroller between the big drums and she'd go right to sleep. You can see her again on the Tour page, standing with Priestess Miriam, 10 years later and all grown up! This room and Altar are still part of the Museum at 724 Dumaine St. This is also the room where were kept the two big resident pythons Zombi and Damballah!
